ImageTool helps you prepare an existing image for a website’s upload requirements, then inspect the file you are about to save.

What you can use today

The image compressor is available directly on the home page and the 50KB tool page. Both use the same tool: one JPG or PNG at a time, with a JPEG result. It includes 20KB, 50KB and 100KB presets, custom maximum and minimum sizes, and optional pixel dimensions. The default 50KB setting means strictly below 50,000 bytes.

More than a smaller number

The result shows the actual file size, dimensions and JPEG format. When no dimensions are fixed, the tool compares several combinations of image size and compression to balance detail against the byte limit. This is a limited search, not a promise of the best possible result for every image.

When you enter exact dimensions, those requirements take priority. Keeping many pixels within a very small file can visibly reduce quality. Use the full-size preview to check faces, small text and signatures before uploading elsewhere.

Your image stays in your browser

There is no image upload step or server-side image processing. Your original file is not overwritten. The optional sample is a synthetic test image downloaded from this site. The live website uses Google Analytics by default for visits, separately from image processing. Read the privacy information for details about analytics and hosting requests.

Know the boundary

ImageTool checks the requirements you enter. It does not verify a destination’s current rules, certify identity photos, or guarantee acceptance by a form. It does not currently provide batch processing, PDF tools or a general image editor.
